Yes, we know that Pride is generally at the end of June (in New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.) to align with the Stonewall Riots (June 28, 1969).

But let’s face it, marching down Palm Canyon Drive in high heels and full make up regalia in Palm Springs in June is…I’m going to use the “S” word here…stupid. So we don’t. We have it in November, when the weather is just right.

We’re not the only outliers; Phoenix and Miami Beach hold theirs in April, and Atlanta and Las Vegas are in October. But we’re not talking about them. We’re talking about Palm Springs Pride, and it is the biggest, and funnest, party of the year.

What to do during Palm Springs Pride

Nov. 1: Pride on the Page — The official Palm Springs Pride Book Festival at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, spotlighting LGBTQ+ authors and literature with panels, readings, and signings.

Nov. 6: Chill Bar presents Pink Pony Corral VIP Lounge — A lively western-themed kickoff event at Chill Bar Palm Springs on Arenas Road, featuring DJs, cocktails, and signature Pride flair.

Nov. 8: PS Pride Official Pool Party — A vibrant Saturday pool party at Palm Springs Surf Club celebrating Pride Weekend with music, live performances, and poolside cocktails.

Nov. 9: Pride on the Rooftop — Parade-viewing party (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) at Flannery Exchange offering rooftop views, brunch bites, and DJ sets overlooking downtown Palm Springs.

Nov. 9: Amazing Sundays Palm Springs Pride Drag Brunch — Two special Pride-edition brunch seatings at Reforma Palm Springs, featuring dazzling drag performances and bottomless mimosas.
