The Plaza Theatre was recently restored to its original glory (it dates back to 1936!), but with high tech everything. You’ll need to purchase your tickets through Ticketmaster, or if you’re walking past, I have seen actual people at the ticket booth. It’s a very fun hodgepodge of entertainment with a touch of nostalgia.

Jan. 10: Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone. ’60s British Invasion classics and sing-along favorites from the chart-topping band led by original frontman Peter Noone. Ticketmaster

Jan. 16: Top of the World – A Tribute to the Carpenters. A joyful tribute to the beloved pop duo known for such timeless tunes as “Close to You.” Ticketmaster

Jan. 17 and 18: Matteo Lane. Stand-up from the Emmy-nominated comedian and cabaret favorite. He’ll be doing two shows a night. Ticketmaster

Jan. 23: Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood: Scared Scriptless. Improv legends from Whose Line Is It Anyway? delivering laugh-first comedy. Ticketmaster

Jan. 25: Janeane Garofalo. Stand-up from the veteran comedian and actress. Ticketmaster

Jan. 28: Spamilton: An American Parody. Hilarious and affectionate satire of Hamilton and Broadway culture. Ticketmaster

Jan. 29: Stayin’ Alive – One Night of the Bee Gees. High-energy tribute to the disco icons and their dance floor anthems. Ticketmaster

Jan. 30: Don McLean. Legendary singer-songwriter will perform “American Pie” and other classics. Ticketmaster

Jan. 31: 1964 – The Tribute. Beatles-era tribute band recreating the Fab Four’s early sound. Ticketmaster
