The Stardust Hotel is back and shining brighter than ever
Owners Jessica and Tim Spry revitalized this 1955 property by turning it into a “luxurious time capsule, mixing vintage art and decor with vibrant color and modern design,” Jessica said. The nine accommodations feel like individual “jewel boxes,” she added, with spacious bathrooms featuring walk-in rain showers.
Guests are encouraged to “sip coffee and watch the sunrise on the balcony or do yoga looking at the mountains,” Jessica said. “We want you to walk into an entirely different world and stop thinking about real life for a while. Here, you’re a celebrity.”

The Sprys are no strangers to the Palm Springs hospitality scene. They own The Marley and Hotel El Cid, and were drawn to their newest property because, “how can you not buy a hotel called The Stardust?” Jessica said. “We were initially attracted to the hotel based on the great name, central location, size, and mid-century roots.”
With nods to the past, like a fantastically retro sign, freshly painted pink exterior, and vintage outfits guests can dress up in, The Stardust is also thoroughly modern, with amenities including an outdoor 420 smoking lounge, gift shop with one-of-a-kind art and collectibles, Casper mattresses, flatscreen Roku televisions, and a beautiful heated pool.
Like The Marley and Hotel El Cid, The Stardust is “designed to be a private hotel, to host your family reunion, girls trip, or bachelorette party,” Jessica said. There is a large community room with a chef’s kitchen, big screen television, and couch able to seat 15 people. Single reservations are also taken, and Jessica encourages guests to “please, bring your dog best friend.”
Another fun twist is that if a piece of room art or decor catches someone’s eye, it is available to bring home. “If you like it, you can buy it,” Jessica said. “Everything in this hotel is for sale.”
Customize your stay

The Sprys want each guest to walk away from The Stardust feeling like they had a custom stay, personalized with their every need in mind. On top of the already included amenities, the hotel is happy to arrange added-fee extras, including in-room massages, group yoga and meditation classes, nanny and dog walking services, pantry stocking, and a private chef. Anything else you may need is just a short walk away.
“We’re located in the best part of town and a block away from award-winning restaurants and bars, a bike shop, liquor store, dispensary, and artisanal ice cream,” Jessica said.
