Azure Sky is a welcome new addition to the Palm Springs hotel landscape. Azure Sky is a 14-room boutique hotel from award-winning managing operators Acme Hospitality and owners Eastern Real Estate. The property was built in 1959, and while it underwent an extensive two-year renovation, the hotel retains its original charm. “My mother was raised in Palm Springs, and I have always considered it my home away from home,” co-owner Henry Courtemanche said. “Azure Sky checks every box of what I have long been seeking in a Palm Springs hotel: an unparalleled view, mid-century architecture, and a level of relaxation that will appeal to even the most discerning guest.” Azure Sky stands out while still fitting in, embracing a neutral palette that is the essence of Palm Springs. The doors leading to the suites are all painted to match the sky at sunrise, and the rooms feature custom built-in beds, stone tile flooring, and walk-in showers with mosaic tile. There are five one-bedroom suites, and 11 of the hotel’s rooms have serene private patios with hammocks, while 12 come equipped with kitchenettes. Guests will get their first “wow” moment when walking into the spacious front lobby, which features gorgeous vintage lighting and custom woodwork. In the morning, that’s where guests will be able to stop by for coffee and a continental breakfast — and for those who need a stiff drink, there will be a premium cocktail bar on-site, which also services the pool. Speaking of the pool, that’s the focal point of the grand outdoor area, which boasts two courtyards. There are also two fire pits for guests to gather around, and chaise lounges scattered across the grounds. Because it’s so spacious, Azure Sky is sure to become one of Palm Springs’ most sought after spots to hold a celebration for up to 120 guests. “I am a host with a passion for guest experience,” Courtemanche said. “After poring over every detail of our piece of paradise we call Azure Sky, I am most excited to witness our guests’ satisfaction firsthand.”
